Frank J. Franiak, Principal
Mr. Franiak has held high-level executive positions within the futures brokerage,
managed futures, and alternative investment management industries for the past 25
years. His background includes experience in sales, sales management, marketing,
operational management, risk management, trading system development, and asset
allocation.
From 1995 through 1999, Mr. Franiak was president of Monroe Capital, Inc., a
consulting firm that specialized in alternative investment strategies. Monroe
Capital provided consulting services in the areas of asset allocation, fund
administration, risk management, manager analysis, sales and marketing to
investors, asset allocators, hedge funds, CPOs, and CTAs. From 1993 through 1995,
Mr. Franiak was president and chief investment officer of Glenwood Futures
Management, an investment firm that offered multi-advisor-managed futures products
to institutional and high net worth individual investors. He managed a major account
for the Virginia Retirement System, a public pension plan that had made a major
commitment to managed futures, and was responsible for asset allocation, operational
management, and sales and marketing. Prior to the formation of Glenwood Futures
Management, Mr. Franiak served in a similar capacity as a vice president of Glenwood
Investment Corp.
From 1974 through 1991, Mr. Franiak served in high-level executive positions within
the futures brokerage industry. He served as vice president of Saul Stone and Company,
executive vice president and CEO of Anspacher & Associates, and president of Archer
Commodities, a firm he helped found. In these positions, he managed futures brokerage
operations that cleared trades for retail clients, foreign and domestic institutions,
Commodity Trading Advisors, and local floor traders.
